Week Of Prayer: Day 5 (Donors and Volunteers)

Today is the 5th day of our week of prayer.

We’re praying for our donors and volunteers

Our marketing department is a crucial part of our ministry that often gets overlooked. Here at BLBC we believe that marketing is about building mutual relationships on trust and kindness, we see it as an essential piece of our ministry!

It is our goal to present the gospel in EVERY aspect of our ministry, especially in our marketing! While so many parts of our ministry are on pause due to COVID-19 or running as a minimal capacity, our community-building efforts, donor and volunteer relationships, and social media outreach still have the capacity to serve, encourage, and share the love of Jesus Christ on a daily basis! This is both a huge gift and a giant responsibility.

Today we have a few key areas we’d love prayer in as we seek God’s will, provision, and protection for Black Lake Bible Camp.

But first, we have some scriptures that God has laid on our hearts to share with you. Read through them, pray, and ask God to reveal to you what He has to teach you through them.

Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches? And if you have not been trustworthy with someone else’s property, who will give you property of your own?
— LUKE 16:10-12

“So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy,  complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

Philippians 2:1-11

As we pray for our marketing department today, there are four main areas we'd like to cover.

1. Pray For each donor, volunteer, and partner.

By God’s grace 2020 has been the highest year of donations that we have on record. We are so blessed and so deeply grateful to be supported by our community in this way! We know that it is all because of God’s generosity, love, and grace. As we pray for our community and partners please ask that God would further these relationships to be less about the transaction and MORE about the value of the relationship itself.

PRAYER REQUESTS:

  • Pray for our donors team and volunteers, who have given so generously this year.

  • Ask God to provide each donor and volunteer with encouragement. Ask God to bless their donations and time spent serving BLBC.

  • Ask God to strengthen our relationships with our donors and volunteers.

  • Prompt those who can donate to support BLBC to do so generously. Ask God to increase our recurring donor team, so we can continue to operate BLBC.

  • Ask God to strengthen our relationships with our partners and within our community. Bless each relationship and use it for your glory.

  • Pray that God would bring about new relationships for BLBC to pursue and do so with gladness, excitement, and humility.

  • Pray for protection over our social media account, that they would be used for God’s glory, and be a reminder of the secure hope we have in God.

2. Pray for the staff in marketing & Finances departments.

 PRAYER REQUESTS:

  • Pray for discernment as the marketing team plans campaigns – ask God to make himself known in every aspect of our communications and marketing. Let even our marketing become a place of ministry and relationship building, that others would see God’s love through everything BLBC does.

  • Pray for the process of building a marketing plan – that we would seek God’s will, above all else.

  • Ask God to bless our efforts all for His glory, bringing us success in each campaign and building up God’s church to share the gospel and lead with humility.

  • That God would encourage and bless each member of the marketing department.

3. Pray For our social media outreach and finances.

While revenue and follower counts are not the reason we operate BLBC, they do make it possible for us to and therefore is a vital aspect of our ministry that we need to seek God's provision and direction in.

PRAYER REQUESTS:

  • Ask God to protect our social media accounts that they would be places of light and hope for the gospel on an often dark platform.

  • Ask God to bring us the donations we need to operate our ministry with excellence.

  • Pray that God would give us discernment and wisdom in using the little resources we have well.

  • Ask God to give everyone at BLBC a thankful heart and a generous spirit.

4. Praises

God has done such mighty work since COVID-19 really began to hit us here at BLBC. There are so many things to praise Him for!

PRAISES:

  • We have had the highest year of donations to date!

  • We have rekindled old relationships that have meant so much to us, and God has brought us new partnerships that encourage us and bless us.

  • Although our finances are low (we’ve lost over 1.2 million dollars in revenue due to COVID-19), we can still serve our community! We are so grateful.
