Men’s Retreat

May 1-3, 2026

It’s time to be challenged, encouraged, and equipped in your faith journey. Are you on the path of becoming who Christ has made you to be, or have you drifted? Join us for a weekend of adventure, accountability, and inspiration as we explore how to be men of God in our families, work, and beyond!

The Three Pillars

Challenged | Encouraged | Equipped

A person, wearing a helmet and harness, is ziplining through a forested area with trees and mountains in the background.

Be challenged through activities such as axe-throwing, kayaking, fishing, disc golf, pickleball, Giant Swing, and much more!

People gathered around a fire pit at night, some holding marshmallow sticks, with string lights overhead.

Be encouraged by fellow believers at the table, on the lake, and around the campfire.

People raising their hands in a crowd during a presentation or conference, with a blurred screen or projection in the background.

Be equipped through real-world workshops and the preaching of God’s Word.

Mentorship

Biblical manhood is under attack in our society. Now, more than ever, it is imperative upon Christian men to be actively mentoring the next generation. Discipleship takes time, and that’s why we have built Mentoring Minutes into our 2026 Men’s Retreat schedule.

We encourage you to register as a mentor or mentee with someone else (father/son, friend, church member) and take full advantage of this weekend. During the Mentoring Minutes, you will have time to pray together, discuss the sessions, and encourage one another.

When you register with a mentor or mentee, you each will receive one free beverage of your choice from the Camp Store.

Dan Cruver

Speaker | Teacher | Author

Dan Cruver serves as the curator and host of Light + Truth, Desiring God’s weekday preaching podcast, which has shared more than 600 sermons from John Piper and reached over 18 million listens. He is the author of Loved Indeed: Reassurance for the Doubting and Suspicious (Union Publishing, 2024) and the forthcoming Held Fast: Christ for You When You’re Weary and Worn (Crossway, July 2027).

With nearly 30 years of pastoral and teaching experience, Dan’s writing and teaching focus on strengthening weary believers by helping them see the sufficiency of Christ and the security of their union with him. He brings theological clarity, pastoral warmth, and lived experience to bear on questions of assurance, suffering, and faith.

Dan has been married to his wife, Melissa, for 32 years. They have three grown children: a daughter and son-in-law with a young son, a son who serves as a full-time firefighter, and a son who is a senior in college.

Start your morning off right on Saturday by braving the chilly waters of Black Lake. At 9 am gather down at our waterfront and take the plunge… the Cold Plunge!
