Quiet On The Home Front

We said goodbye for now to our Summer Staff over the weekend, as Day Camp 10 came to a close and our summer camp season officially ended. Now, everything sits quiet for a moment’s pause. This weekend, we’ll welcome almost 300 people for a Family Camp Retreat from a local church, but for now, the swings lie still, the Tabernacle sits empty, and all is quiet at Camp.

After 10 weeks of daily laughing, yelling, crazy fun, it is a strange thing, the silence. But it is also a chance to remember all the fun that took place, and a chance to look forward to what is to come. Retreat season will soon be bustling and busy, and from there we’ll move into events like the Women’s Retreat weekends in October. Camp will not be still for very long, but while it is, let us take a moment to stop and pray. To rejoice in the silence that reminds us of the noisy goodness. To heal and be refreshed for another season.

Whether you’re in a week of noise or of silence, take at least a moment today to pause and to pray. To thank God for the seasons He has carried you through and will continue to protect you in.

Wishing each one of you a blessed week and beyond, as we continue to work for His glory!
