Contrary to popular belief, Black Lake Bible Camp hosts camps and retreats ALL YEAR LONG! Not only is there a lot of work to prepare for the summer, but we serve rental groups every month of the year. If you’re interested in joining our team, you can submit your resume below.


Food Service Manager

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

A member of the Senior Staff Leadership Team, the Food Service Manager will be capable of preparing quality meals for groups of up to 500 people, managing a staff of up to 20 people, managing a Food Service budget, and promoting the spiritual and professional development of young people. The Food Service department is a critical component of Black Lake’s ministry to campers, guest groups, and summer staff, many of whom work at Black Lake Bible Camp as their first work experience.  

Time:  Full-Time Year Round
Salary:  Salary

Housing: On-camp accommodations included for an individual or family. May commute from off-camp as well.

Assistant Food Service Manager

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Reports to the Food Service Manager and will be capable of preparing quality meals for groups of up to 500 people, managing a staff of up to 20 people, and promoting the spiritual and professional development of young people. The Food Service department is a critical component of Black Lake’s ministry to campers, guest groups, and summer staff, many of whom work at Black Lake Bible Camp as their first work experience.  

Time:  Full-Time Year Round
Salary:  Hourly

Housing: On-camp accommodations included for an individual or family. May commute from off-camp as well.


Part Time Cook

  • Reports to Food Service Manager or Assistant Manager. Cooks support and actively contribute to fulfilling the mission of the BLBC Food Service department by working as part of a team to make our guests feel valued by providing excellent and hospitable service.

  • · Be in agreement with BLBC’s statement of faith

    · Have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn new skills

    · Have the ability to work quickly and efficiently

    · Be flexible and enjoy serving others

    · Be attentive to details and motivated to complete tasks correctly and completely

    · Available to work weekdays, weekends, evenings, and some holidays

  • · Able to follow written and verbal instructions

    · Possess a Washington food handler card ($10, reimbursement available)

  • · Cooking and baking a variety of items in an efficient manner according to provided recipes

    · Prepping a variety of items in an efficient manner according to BLBC kitchen standards

    · Properly labeling and storing prepped items and leftovers

    · Serving meals according to BLBC kitchen standards

    · Assist in maintaining a safe and sanitary Food Service operation

    · Washing/cleaning dishes, floors, walls, and equipment

    · Setting up and tearing down service and dining areas

    · Stocking dishes, utensils, and food items for service

    · Laundering kitchen linens

    · Removing trash and recycling

    · Other tasks as assigned

  • · Ability to lift 50 pounds

    · Ability to stand for long periods of time

    · Ability to work in a hot, fast paced environment

Time:  Part Time Year Round
Salary:  Hourly Pay

Housing: No on-site housing provided


Part Time Dishwasher
