Privacy Policy and Terms of Service

 

 ALL GUESTS ARE EXPECTED TO:

  • Respect the beliefs of Black Lake Bible Camp as described in the Statement of Faith

  • Respect camp boundaries and property

  • Wear shoes at all times (except in designated swimming areas)

  • Dress & behave modestly

  • Adhere to water safety rules

  • Not bring any prohibited items (pets, alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, weapons of any kind, fireworks). We reserve the right to search any guest's belongings if necessary.


ADDITIONAL EXPECTATIONS FOR YOUTH CAMPERS:

  • In addition to the expectations above, campers at our youth camps (day camps, junior camps, jr/sr high camps) are expected to: attend all meals, meetings, and activities unless excused by the camp nurse or a camp director, respect those in authority, not display romantic affection (holding hands, kissing, etc), and not use offensive language.

  • We reserve the right to send any camper home if he or she fails to comply with the camp rules and/or its policies.


MEDIA RELEASE :

  • Submitting a registration form grants Black Lake Bible Camp permission to use comments, images, and/or recordings of the person/s you are registering in our promotional materials which may appear online or in print.

CANCELLATIONS:

  • For Day Camp, cancellation requests received at least one week prior to the first day of camp will be refunded in full, minus your $40 deposit. If a cancellation request is received less than a week prior to the first day of camp, a cancellation fee of $25 will be charged in addition to the deposit.

  • For Family Camp, cancellation requests received at least one month before the first day of camp will be refunded minus your $75 deposit. If a cancellation request is received less than a month prior to the first day of camp, a cancellation fee of $25 will be charged in addition to the deposit.

  • For youth resident camps, Cancellation requests received at least two weeks before the first day of camp will be refunded minus your deposit paid. If a cancellation request is received less than two weeks prior to the first day of camp, a cancellation fee of $25 will be charged in addition to the deposit.

  • We will refund the deposit fee when cancellation is for medical reasons or family emergencies on a case by case basis. Please contact our registrar for cancellations.

  • No refund will be given for: a dismissal due to disciplinary action, homesickness, late arrival, early departure (except for sickness or family emergency) or for campers who do not attend and do not notify the camp of the cancellation.

  • To cancel or change your registration: contact the main office by email, phone, or in person.

  • All cancellation fees are due on the last scheduled day of the cancelled camp.

 

TRANSFER POLICY:

  • You may transfer money from one camp to another camp for a $10.00 bookkeeping fee for each transaction. If you request a transfer less than 24 hours before the cancelled camp begins, the bookkeeping fee is $25 (equal to the cancellation fee).

  • There is no fee to transfer money from one camper to another camper in the same camp session.

  • The new camp needs to be no later than six months after the original camp.

  • To transfer money, contact the main office by email, phone, or in-person 24 hours before the original camp is scheduled to begin.


PRIVACY POLICY:

Black Lake Bible Camp (BLBC) only collects the information you specifically give via a registration form, other application, or online message. BLBC uses this information to plan, prepare, and implement camps and/or other events; and for marketing future events. You may opt-out of future mailings/emails at any time. BLBC will never sell or rent camper/attendee information and will never disclose personal information without your explicit consent.


ACTIVITIES WAIVER:

Submitting a registration form for a camp at Black Lake Bible Camp implies agreement with the following release of liability, assumption of risk, and indemnification agreement:

The registered camper or the legal guardian of the registered camper waives the rights described below and releases Black Lake Camp & Conference Center (BLBC) from liability related to the activities described herein.

Activities include (but are not limited to): climbing wall, archery tag, Axe Throwing Range, swimming in the pool, swimming in the lake, boating on the lake, canoeing on the lake, archery, bb guns, mini-golf, disc golf, gutterball, gaga ball, and field or gym games.

Campers may opt-out of any or all of the camp activities by submitting the "Activity Opt-Out Form" on the Youth Camp Downloads HERE.

 

1. ACTIVITIES AND ASSOCIATED RISKS: Guardian has chosen to allow Camper to participate in activities provided by BLBC. Guardian understands, acknowledges, and agrees that:

  • The activities may be inherently dangerous and hazardous, and Camper may be exposed to dangers, hazards, and physical and mental trauma, including without limitation the following: bruises, punctures, damage to eyes, ears or mouth, damage to organs, lesions, falls, fractures, concussions, impacts, collisions with other participants, overexertion, overheating, rope abrasion, entanglement, dropped items, injuries from my lack of fitness or conditioning, death, equipment failures, and negligence of others.

  • As a consequence of these risks, the Camper may be seriously hurt, disabled, or may die from the resulting injuries, and my property may also be damaged.

  • Hospital facilities, qualified medical care, and medical evacuation may be limited by local conditions; and

  • BLBC assumes no responsibility for providing medical care during activities, and Guardian shall be solely responsible to pay for any medical care and/or evacuation that Camper incurs.

2. ASSUMPTION OF THE RISKS: Guardian agrees that Camper’s participation in the activities is entirely voluntary and on Camper’s behalf freely assume the above-mentioned risks and any harm, injury, or loss that may occur as a result of Camper’s participation in the activities – including any injury or loss caused by the negligence of BLBC, its employees and officers, its contractors, and other participants. Guardian also understands that any equipment provided by BLBC or any other person is provided without any warranty about its condition or suitability.

3. RELEASE OF LIABILITY: Guardian, for Guardian and on behalf of Camper, hereby waives any claims against and releases BLBC, its agents, employees, contractors, and suppliers from, any liabilities, claims, causes of action, or expenses (including attorney fees) that arise from or are related in any way to injuries or damages, of any kind or any nature, resulting from the activities.

4. INDEMNIFICATION.  Guardian shall indemnify and hold harmless BLBC from and against any and all claims, causes of action, expenses (including attorney fees and costs), liabilities, and/or obligations that arise out of or are related in any way to Camper’s participation in the activities.

5. AUTHORITY.  Guardian represents and warrants that Guardian has the legal authority to agree to this agreement and to act on behalf of Camper.
