All About Women's Retreat (and free phone wallpapers)

Women's Retreat is a one-day event for women who crave the lasting peace, refreshment, and community that God provides.

We know the world feels heavy right now.

We feel it too.

This is why we believe it is critical that we come together and declare God as King! We believe that it is essential that we come together as the body of Christ to worship our Maker in all situations.

We want to provide opportunities to intentionally seek community during a season that could quickly become one of isolation and fear.

This fear cannot hold us captive!

God has defeated death, and by His grace, we can walk in His victory and celebrate together!

At Black Lake Bible Camp, we believe God has asked us to bring the women in our community together to remind one another of this truth. We want to create a safe, inviting, and fun space to encourage one another in joyfulness and truth.

We can't wait to spoil you with a refreshing day for you to enjoy!

We want you to be a part of this. We want your mother, daughters, friends, sisters, and every woman you know to come to our Women's Retreat!

That is why we are offering a group discount when five or more people register together. Plus, if you bring four or more people with you, then you and your group will get access to a free, private meeting space to discuss each session, drop your belongings, and rest together.

We need your help to spread the word – this day is far too important to keep to ourselves!

THIS IS AN IMPORTANT DAY

I don't know if you've experienced this, but it can often feel as though women's ministry events are shallow or even a bit tacky. I can say with full confidence that this event will not be like that!

Our Women's Ministry Coordinator, Melanie Ewert, has overseen every aspect of this one-day Retreat to ensure that we can put on the best event we possibly can. From the brand design to meals to activities to the sessions' content, we are so proud of this event! We know it's only a one-day event, but we know it's going to be an important day.

At Black Lake Bible Camp, our mission is to be used by God to transform lives through faith in Jesus Christ. With this mission at the forefront of everything we do, we believe this event is exactly what so many women need at this very moment in time.

THE THEME - Lasting Peace

This year the theme is Lasting Peace. Our speaker, Naghmeh Panahi, will be sharing how God has brought her through war, abuse, infidelity, depression, and so many other intense trials. Through all of this, God has taught her how to hold onto the lasting peace that only God provides.

With heaviness all around us, we know that her words will bring you great encouragement and that God will work through them to draw you nearer to Him. She wrote a small devotional (here) for us! Her father has recently passed away from COVID-19. She again was faced with the decision to cling to lasting peace. Read her words, and I pray that they inspire you and encourage you to run to God in the midst of life's darkest storms.

Branding & Free Phone Wallpapers

Plus, look at how beautiful the theme and branding are!

Speaking of, we have some free, beautiful phone wallpapers for you to download.

To download: them simply long-press the one(s) you like and select “download” from the pop up menu on your phone.

Meet the Speaker

Naghmeh Pahani

"Having grown up in war and later having gone back to Iran, I have faced intense persecution as a Christian. I constantly struggled with fear and anxiety. As I got older, I continued to wrestle with this fear and anxiety, and I sought the Lord for victory over them. Abuse and infidelity in my marriage, unwanted divorce, being a single mom, facing autoimmune disease and cancer scares, and dealing with the uncertainties of COVID-19 continued to contribute to fear and anxiety rising up in my life.

But God, by His grace, has taught me to keep peace, joy, and even laughter in the midst of life's darkest storms. As Christians, we walk through the same storms of life as others, but how we go through these storms puts God's glory on display."

4:30 pm // Small Group Discussion & Prayer

After the second session, we'll get back together with our groups and discuss what resonated with us, challenged us, or stood out. We hope you can use this as a time to pray together, fellowship, and enjoy each other's company.

5:00 pm // Dinner

We will have homemade chicken cordon bleu, rice pilaf, and seasonal vegetables plus a fresh salad bar for dinner. It's going to be delicious!

6:30 pm // Activities

After dinner is over, we will have various activities available, like ax throwing, kayaking, bunko, and more. We want to give you some free time to connect with friends and enjoy yourself!

7:30 pm // Bonfire & Communion

At 7:30, we will all gather together one last time for a time of prayer and communion. We can't remember the last time we took communion together with other church members, and we are so excited to share this with you.

Afterward, you are free to spend time around camp and enjoy our campus with your friends. If you've booked a room to stay overnight, you can rest there for the evening, enjoy the lake, or talk a walkout to Harmony Springs. Whatever you choose to do, we hope it refreshes you and that you encounter God here at Black Lake Bible Camp.
