How to Create a Team for the End of Year Fundraiser

We are wrapping up 2020 with a big, all hands on deck fundraiser to carry Black Lake Bible Camp through the winter months during COVID-19! We really need to rally everyone together to reach our goal of raising $50,000 to keep our doors open during the winter months.

It’s a big goal, but if we all chip in we believe we can triple this goal!

The best way you can support us right now is by creating a team in our fundraiser and doing your vest best to reach your team’s giving goal.

Creating a team is simple. This post will walk you through each step!

WHAT IS A TEAM?

A team is simple a mini-fundraiser you create under the umbrella of our main campaign. Every dollar donated via your team will go directly to Black Lake Bible Camp’s total giving goal of $150.

When you create your own team you can:

  • set your own giving goal

  • customize the text so you can share how God has used BLBC to impact your life

  • invite team member to donate towards your team’s giving goal

  • and add in your own videos or photos


HOW TO CREATE YOUR TEAM

Creating your team is simple! You can choose to leave the placeholder text that I’ve created, or you can edit your team by adding your own words, images, and stories to encourage engagement within your community.

1. Head to www.blbcolympia.com/giving

2. Click “Create a Giving Team”

From there you can either sign into your donor account (if you’ve already give to BLBC online you likely already have an account just use the same email you use when you donate to login and click “forgot password” if you haven’t already created a login) or you can quickly create a new account.

3. Edit Your Team

After you’ve created your account you will be prompted to create your team name, add a profile photos, and edit different fields of text.

This is all optional, that said the more personal your story and how God us used BLBC to transform your life the more effective your team’s campaign will be.

This will help the team members you invite to donate to your team’s giving goal recognize who you are. And it will help us at BLBC put a face to the name!

3. Invite members to donate to your team!

Next you’ll be able to invite member to donate to your team!

You can do this by sharing your unique URL on your social media platforms like Facebook or Instagram, or emailing it to a friend! You can also invite them right from your team page.

To go to your team page click “Causes” in the top left menu. (Pictured below)

Then click “Invite Giving Team Member” in the top right menu bar.

From there you can invite someone via email directly to your team.



Or you can share your team’s URL to Instagram, Facebook, or via text.

TO FIND YOUR TEAMS URL

  1. Click “Public Page” in the top right menu bar in your Cause Dashboard.

  2. It’ll redirect you to your live Team Page

  3. Copy the URL in the URL bar above.

It’ll always follow this formula: https://blbcolympia.kindful.com/give/team-name

So if your team name is Jessica’s Team the URL will read: https://blbcolympia.kindful.com/give/jessicas-team
